One: It has been over one year since I saw him for the last time.
Two: It has been over one year since I saw him last time.
Three: It has been over one year since I saw him the last time.

Sentence One implies that you are never going to see him again. If that's what you mean, choose one.

If you just mean it's been over one year since you saw him last, use sentence Two. Personally, I think using sentence Two but leaving off the word "time" sounds better still.

How about: The last time I saw him was over a year ago.

One sounds better that the rest..since i used almost the same syntax when i say something like that..sounds acceptable..:)

One. Three is okay, but one is best if you are talking about someone that passed-away or disappeared...
