every one, for you, me, mom, dad, every sinner on the earth. but you have to beleve in him and call on his name to be saved, then you have to live like some one who is saved. it is more than a prayer once said.

That's a good question. Does everyone even believe in Jesus? Personally, I do and I believe that Jesus sacrificed his life for everyone on Earth including you and me. Others believe other things. It's kind of like that whole Da Vinci Code thing with Mary Magdelene.

It was not a who, it was a what.
It was for publicity. Had he not martyred himself, he would be as well known now as that guy that was at the market in Jerusalem buying bread that very same day. Even if he was really the son of a god, then it meant so little since he was immortal. David Blaine would put up with a worse death for publicity if he knew he would come back in 3 days.

This is what caused one split in the church following the reformation - did Christ die for everyone, or die for just a predestined 'elect' people?
The things is, in the end it practically doesn't matter. Whether a person is predestined to be saved or not, we can't tell. So we witness to them as if they are predestined, that is the best way.
I believe Jesus died for everyone. But not everyone will accept the gift. You can win the lottery, but you haven't really received it until you've surrendered your ticket for the prize.

Jesus gave His life for all of mankind. He took on the sins of all humans and became the perfect sacrifice for each and every one of us. And if we confess Him as our Lord and Savior, we can spend eternity with Him in heaven.

I lived in heaven a long time ago, it is true.
Lived there and loved there with people I know, so did you.
Then Heavenly Father presented a beautiful plan.
All about earth and Eternal Salvation for man.
Father said he needed someone who had enough love.
To give his life so we all could return their above.
There was another who sought for the honor devine.
Jesus said "Father send me and the glory be thine."
Jesus was chosen and as the Messiah He came.
Conquering evil and death through his glorious name.
Giving us hope of a wonderful life yet to be,
Home in the Heaven where Father is waiting for me.*
Someone once said that the atonement of our Savior was not an alleged night of pain and suffering so much as it was a long line of people, all who would ever live upon the earth, holding their lives out for him to atone for and make clean. He gave his life in love, looking deep into each of our eyes and feeling all of our pains and sufferings and stains and sins because he wanted us to be able to come back to him. He knew we wouldn't be perfect, yet no unclean thing can dwell with God, so He sacrificed his life in order to make possible our return to Heaven. He did it because he loves us. Every one of us.

All of mankind, from beginning to end.
Well, if you want to argue the fine details, it really has been that way forever, and His sacrafice was a symbol.
But whatever. It is done. The end of the world of law (in our own minds and hearts regarding gaining favor with God) was at the cross and a new one began.

I guess you didn't understand the prophets, so here is a quick review.
Adam and Eve sin. God promised a Redeemer. God sent Jesus to reconcile the world. Jesus died. God raise him up from the dead.
Bottom: God raised Jesus and we now have hope for eternal life.

For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. He really sacrificed his life for the whole wide world.
