A girl of 9 years of age is a child in any lanuage. So YES he is a pedophile. (and for the idiot that asked what a pedophile was? do some research before you open your mouth!)
I can't imgaine the rational behind a sick F@@@ bastard marring a 9 year old child.

Get real here! No God in Heaven would santify the sexual abuse of a child or any person for that matter.
So I guess if you are Muslim then you believe that crock of ****! For the rest of the world that knows that children are our sacred and precious little beings to be held in arms of love and NOT lust then I wish to say to let your voice be heard in protective defence of our babies and children around the world.
Let it be known that YOU as a person, parent and individual will not tolerate the sexual abuse of a child.
If you are of any civic value, moral viber, conscious or faith of any denomination, American born and a beliver in the Constitution, a world without submission, disgrace and degrigation then stand up and say that we have to protect our children from those that are under the belife that children are objects and pocessions.
Denounce child abuse, sexual explortaion and any and all persons that take advantage of our children.
That's how I feel about Mohammed and any one that would defile a child!

The facts on that one are contested... i mean the actual shifting of Aisha to Muhammad's houses and the ritual marriage... But u r really talking about a very different cultural context... I live in a part of world where some cultures marry their kids off and they have no choice get out of it when the grow up. Wonder what all practices existed in the past that we would find crazy at the present. But you cannot really dictate ur contemporary value system upon history.
You have to judge Muhammad on the basis of his net impact during his times. Did he improve upon the Arab tribal system or not. As far as i know, Arab women were property before Muhammad's arrival. It was he who ensured their legal rights first time in this part of the globe... this is not to say he made them equal to men... but he certainly made great progress from where they stood. Things from then on should have progressed and they did to some while... but what you have now in the Muslim world is a mix of many traditional practices a bit of misinterpreted Islam and a lot of bigotry.
While you sling mud at others do take an objective look at the medieval Christianity and bad times of other faiths too... don't let hate dictate ur reason!

Yes he did marry Siti Aisyah at 9 but not sleep with her at that age. She was still small. During tht period he treated her like a child where he played piggy ride and hide n seek like any other child when she has reached her puberty then thing change. 72 wives is in heaven man, not on earth. Don't be silly, Aishah & Muhammad get married yes of course when she is too young, but she's only come to live with Muhammad when she's matured enough to be a wife. About 72 virgin wives, I'm not sure..
