The: "My other girlfriends did 'x' for me, why can't you" situation was used on me, I felt as a manipulative tactic, one I bent under at the time, but in retrospect was outright enraging (w/me wishing to give him a piece of my mind back then, and all).

All men and most women have selective memory when it comes to ex's. When we want to dislike them, we remember the bad. Sometimes, we remember the good. The fact that he considers you on par with the other significant others really shows that he thinks you're better. It's really much more a matter of your boyfriend not having any tact, and not knowing how to make requests while also being respectful. Don't hate him for being stupid. Just remind him that if he likes the ex's more, he can go back.

My ex used to compare me to his ex girlfriend all the time and how much better she was in all these ways...Now when me and him talk...he tells me that I'm the one who got away and that now that he's married his WIFE knows that I'm the one he really wanted. I tell him that the same stuff he did to me back then, he is still doing, but he's doing it to his WIFE. What type of crap is that?
Notice I called him my ex. So while in the relationship it hurt and I believe it damaged me because he was my first for everything and I ended up hating his ex because of it. Now I do give him a piece of my mind for the time when I was too young and scared to do it.

nope, he shouldn't be coparing you to the past, he should be thinkin bout the present time, which is you. If he has to compare you, then it aint even worth it, cuz then he has too many changes he would want to make, and that would mean he doesn't like you for who you are

get rid of him he can't stop thinking about his past relationship so he has to try to compare u and when u don't mount up to them he is gonna ask u so u can be just like them

My boyfriend used to do that, til one day I told him to go to back to his ex if he liked her so much. He came crawling back. Take a stand - he has to choose now!

When he says what past girlfriends did for him, you should invite him to reacquaint himself with them. Then I would leave him to it. You don't need that craziness.

you know..if his ex was soooo great why arent they together? and if he is trying to guilt you into stuff you really dont want to do, run , fast. hes no good.
