If it dries out it may work a while. But the water corrodes the battery cells inside and the corrosive acid will eventually cause it to cease permenantly. Buy another one. If you take it back and ask for a trade or replacement, they may give it to you, but there are obvisous signs of water damage. Most electronic manufactures put a water detector inside the device so that if it is triggered and you sent it in for repair, they will refuse it and your screwed. Look inside many nokia phones and you'll see a pink and white dot, or it may be red and white, when its wet the colors run to form a light pink circle.

Take it back to Apple and just say you dont know why it isnt working. A friend did that and got a new iPod.

If recently, like a few minutes/hours ago blow dry it. It worked with my cell phone when I dropped it in the bath tub. I dont think it will every fully work right though.

unless you leave it alone and dry it out if it had a power source in it part of it might be shorted. You may have to send it back do you have your reciept that is like needed in this day and age.
