i downloaded a 64bit program and fig my comp is a 32bit. Can i still use the program or will i have to download it again. and please make my day by saying it is ok because it is a 4gb file.

No, it will crash you system by incompatable threading. It might even cause some physical damage.

Some 64 bit programs can run on 32 bit, you'll just get an error if it doesnt run but you can always uninstall it. There are some programs that allow you to adjust the bit settings on the program before installing so you might be able to change it.

Try it out and check if it will let you change the settings on the program.

Most programs usually have choices for downloading 32bit or 64bit programs. The standard for most computers is 32 bit, so you might want to find a program that will fit your O.S.

If the application is compiled for a 64 bit architecture, then it will not run on a 32 bit architecture.
