sure. it's the place in the ground everyone goes when they are 6' under.

God created it. All go to hell at death including Christians. The original Hebrew word was Sheol and the Greek word was Hades, properly translated they mean: the grave or a pit.Another word also translated as hell was Gehenna(Greek),this is an actual place now known as the Hinnom Valley in Jerusalem. This is a place that always had a fire and they burnt trash, animal carcasses, and live babies were sacrificed to molech the great owl god.Look at a map.In Psalm 16:10, & 49:15 David knew he was going to hell (grave) and would be resurected from it.Many of the older Bibles such as Geneva properly translated these words as grave or pit. It is impossible to have three totally different words and translate them all as hell. In the 1600's when the KJV Bible was made ,the meaning of the word hell was to put in the ground so when they changed the wording to hell they understood what it meant. If you look up Gehenna in Websters dictionary today you will see it tells you the same thing I said. Apparently its to difficult for most Christians to actually look up the meaning of a word, they prefer to listen to the lies that their preacher spews from the pulpit. My God will put you in hell when you die,the grave, and regardless of your beliefs or how you lived you will be resurected for judgement. To receive eternal life you must know Christ as saviour, if not you will be thrown into the lake of fire Rev. 20:14,this is the second death, where people are consumed instantly and permanently. No eternal suffering and torment.I am a Christian and I think its a shame that churches use these kind of scare tactics to keep people in church.

An actual, physical place with a horned demon at the door? I don't think so. But there is a hell we create for ourselves and one where we might be denied all those things we would otherwise call heavenly. But the concept alone keeps us all in line and with a sense of purpose and direction. Hey , there are those people who in their near-death experiences have 'seen the light' and a few who have seen something else. But I feel that that experience is purely a physiological response to the entire death experience. The body shutting down and certain life's memories being triggered haphazzardly. BUT....if I'm wrong and Satan is standing at the front door, grinning with his fangs dripping, I'll bet the parties are wild! Better to behave......at least a bit....

Yes. But not in the Christian sense. Hell exists on this earth. Also, sometimes when people die if they feel really guilty about things they'd done while alive they'll go to a sort of self made hell until they feel as if they'd been punished enough. Hell is not an eternal pit of flames and suffering.

Yes I do. I believe that instead of Hell being a particular place full of flames and devils with pitchforks, it is rather a state of existence where a human being has place himself or herself outside of God's love. Since according to the moral paradigm I've chosen to live by, God's love is everywhere, this means the person thereby casts himself or herself into Hell by separating himself or herself from God. How exactly this is accomplished can vary, but it basically boils down to rejecting God by thought, word, or deed, or by committing an act that causes the separation. This is the basic working definition of sin according to my belief system.

Do "bad people" "go to hell" when they die? I don't believe it's automatic. I believe that God is a loving deity and really does want to cut human beings all the slack possible. That being so, God's mercy is always available. Is there a catch? I suppose so, but that's a very human way of putting it. God gave us free will, so we could love Him or not as we choose rather than being robots or slaves. If we choose not to love and be loved by God, OK, that's up to us, but there are consequences. We miss out. We suffer. And that's because we've chosen to deny ourselves the love of God. That's really what Hell is.

I do not believe that there could be hell. But we are already good at perfecting our world into a 'better' hell that the one if at all there exists one, aren't we? So, there would be no problem, since we are trained enough right here to feel comfortable at the so called hell, to the extent, that it does not scare us any more ! And so again, the 'hell-raisers' are at their wits end in holding us to a ransom by their threats!

Do I believe there is a place of eternal torment? A place where people's souls get sent to for ETERNITY after a mere possible 100 or so years on this Earth?

ABSOLUTELY F*CKING NOT!

Do I believe there is a place of torment that people's souls go to for a certain amount of time to pay the price for all the wrong they did on this planet during their 100 or so years?

Ya, I do.

And then I believe those souls, once they have served their time in "Hell" (torment place.), get to go to "Heaven" (really happy place) for a certain amount of time until they are given the option of being reincarnated or not.

Yes. I doubt whether it is the hellfire-and-brimstone place of myth, but I have no doubt there is a hell. It is a state of permanent disconnect with the divine for those who choose not to enjoy a relationship with God.

HELL IS CAUSED BY MANS IGNORANCE. ITS MISTRANSLATIONS AND MISUSAGE OF WORDS LIKE AEONS , SHEOL AND HADES, THERE IS NO HELL!! IN THE ANCIENT MANUSCRIPTS THE WORD HELL OR ETERNAL PUNISHMENT IS NOT MENTIONED, DONT YOU THINK SOMETHING THAT IMPORTANT WOULD HAVE BEEN STRESSED A BIT MORE IN SCRIPTURE, THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH!! NOT HELL!, HELL IS A LIE TO MAKE A LOVING FATHER LOOK LIKE A HYPOCRITE. THERE IS PUNISHMENT WRONGS AND REFINEMENT IN FIRE LIKE GOLD, THOUGH IT ABSOLUTELY ISNT FOR ETERNITY!. AND OF COURSE YOU,VE ALREADY HEARD THIS FROM ME BECAUSE I,M YOUR HUSBAND.
