My dad is not in my life. So, I see my mom as a mother and a father. I celebrate my mother on mother's day and on father's day.

There has to be someone in your life that has been good to you, I say celebrate them! Take them out to dinner. A father is really just a symbol of a care giver.

i understand, it might be depressing...but still...it really does not matter if the person your heart truly cares for is physically present near u or not.
u can pray to god for ur father's good health and prosperity..if possible give him a call or send him cards or flowers..or if u can then...make a gift yourself and try to give it to him...i am sure he will appreciate this.
if some one very sadly has lost his/her father...then also he can pray to god to bless his father's soul and from his heart wish his father " happy father's day"...it will surely reach his father's soul wherever his father is.

dont celebrate it.. i guess....because if the father isnt alive, the people might be touchy about it, and if they just arent in their life, u guess you wouldnt care all too much,because you would be used to not seeing them.

Just have them in your mind and heart or if you choose to not be with him then however you want because if he hurt you than you don't owe him any special holiday....I know because I am spending it with my step dad not my biological dad because I don't choose to have him in my life...
