I know this is the right decision for me. I wandered away from the Lord for 9 years. On Easter Sunday I rededicated my life to God ( I am a Christian), and this Sunday will be Baptised. I am getting a little nervous, I think it is just because I will be in front of people (I am on the shy side in front of a lot of people). I would like to hear of your baptism experience...

Congratulations!! Welcome home.
Don't be nervous. You won't even notice those people. If you do, remember, they are there because they are so very proud of you.
When I was baptized, it was the most wonderful feeling in the world. It is a feeling you will never forget and can't really describe. :)

There's a Jacuzzi tub situated in the front of our sanctuary that we use for baptisms. Our church had just finished constructing that new sanctuary, so I was one of the first to be baptized there. I was 9. It was an evening service, my whole family was there (even the side that never came to church, which I thought was weird).

I was wearing a white robe and stepped down into the pool. The water was heated and felt very comfortable. My pastor asked me if I had accepted Jesus into my heart. I answered "yes." He then said "I baptize you in the name..." and placed a cloth over my mouth and nose and leaned me backward into the water. I stood up, lit a candle, stepped out of the tub, and went to change my clothes.

I felt a great deal of pressure to be baptized by my family. Looking back, I don't believe that I experienced any kind of conversion or resurrection with my baptism. I believe that that happened later in my life - and when it happened I wished then that I had not been baptized as a youth so that I could experience a true "believer's baptism."

Don't be nervous! Remember, your baptism is an outward sign of the grace you have received from Christ. It should be something that you want EVERYONE to know about, that they might also become followers of Christ.

I was baptised when I was about 7 years-old. BAPTISM IS CRITICAL! I think many people don't truly understand what they are doing, though, when they get baptised. It wasn't until about 4 years ago that I really started KNOWING Christ, not just "knowing" Him. If that makes sense. Nervous? That's okay, it's a big step, but remember who you are doing this for... The nerves should go away. KEEP THE FAITH AND ALWAYS LOOK UP!

It was incredible. I have been a believer my whole life but I wasn't baptized until last year. I was at a Christ in Youth Conference in Illinois, a week long camp where we stayed in dorm rooms and worshipped with thousands of youth in a stadium and went to classes and stuff. Anyway...I was so moved by the whole experience and found my purpose as a human being. The last night of the conference, on the way back to our dorms I saw a fountain in the front of the Student Union center and my youth minister baptized me (my friend dunked me, lol)...she didn't all the way because she said she was afraid I'd get water up my nose, lol....so i made her do it again, lol...It was unforgettable!!!

I was baptized by one who had authority from God my husband who is an elder and who holds the priesthood from our Father in Heaven. He baptized me and I had looked forward to the day for many years. I know it was the right thing to do and now I have the fully restored gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I have other many blessing also that comes with being a disciple of Christ . Christ desires all to come unto Him and be baptized. It was very special day for me to know I would be clean f rom all sin.
