According to Christianity, Jesus was sent to us to set humankind on a different path than they were to begin with. Perhaps humanity was already ont eh path to destruction, and this was God's way of intervening, saying "hey. listen up..."

Jesus' teachings were in the form of parables, or metaphor. He deliberately taught that way to make people think and to come to the answer on their own. They have the choice to think or not, to accept what they find or not.

Perhaps God was lonely... that is another theory.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in him will have eternal life." (John 3:16, from memory)

We were made to worship God and enjoy him forever. When we choose to give our lives to His control that's when we're plugged in and right where we're supposed to be - living for God. It's not about us, it's about Him.

You can see this lifetime as a sort of test. Before you came into this world, you and God were in eternity and some decided to go into the world, which is a noble thing to do. They would have to forget the life in eternity when they enter the world. The world is a testing ground, it's a place of conflict and confusion, but God is always there and he's left a lot of clues about Him. Those who come through the life in this world and choose God will find it has good consequences for life afterwards, back in eternity.

It's the testing here, where people need to respond to life's problems by choosing God or choosing something else, that helps a person to grow in their relationship with God. They have a purpose here, to tell others about God and invite them to have a part in the life with God in eternity. God has gited people and made people in their own unique way for His unique purpose for them. People who fulfil what they're called to find this has heavenly rewards, on top of the salvation that comes as a gift (not earned or deserved) by accepting the gift of Jesus taking the bullet for their sins.

If it was so easy to know, then really there is no way for you to know whether you came to a new life in Jesus because it was handed to you on a platter or because you really wanted it for no other reason - that is where faith comes in, and the people who get the most out of the new life with Jesus are those who exercise faith at the end of their rope.

The good news is that those who seek God will be found by Him. So make the step today and ask the real God to reveal Himself to you. And he will.

Catholicism does no longer teach this and Catholicism is more desirable than 50% of christianity. What it does teach is that all of us will be judged upon lack of existence through god. What takes position after the judgement we do not understand. Hell is for the depraved, which maximum all of us isn't, heaven is for the organic which purely few would nicely be. So the middle floor is the interesting area. Catholicism teaches purgatory or an area to purify your self till you could now attain heaven. Buddhist say there is 7 ranges of hell, inclusive of a non actual purgatory plus the teachings of being reborn as human as a actual position of suffering. purely fundies say you'll bypass to heaven or hell, there is no such component as black or white. .

Ha-ha the first girl that answer is a b*tch if she thinks that God would want u to talk to somebody like that when all they are doing is asking a question about a highly debated topic in society. I believe, that the reason Jesus didn't say anything about that is because it would be too easy, life without controversy would lead to extreme controversy, also, one of the hugest foundation of this religion is the belief in Jesus and what he did, and that his intentions were for the best of mankind. Also for those trying to say that were dumb asses, i agree some of the people that are completely one-sided on this topic are stupid, but frankly i don't see you proving anything we say wrong.

He didnt come to change the word, but to fulfill it, you see the problem with protestants is that they don't pay any attention to the Old Testament. My Scripture teacher always said, "If you wanna know anything about the New Testament, you have to study the Old Testament." His purpose was to eliminate the death of sin and make repentence possible. He did this by making the ultimate sacrifice, death on a cross, the last supper is what he said to do in memory of him. You see the protestants only choose what they want to believe from the Bible. The King James Bible clearly states that Jesus said Do this in memory of me, so we know that that IS the body and IS the blood of Christ and IS the ultimate sacrifice. He is the Lamb of God and he came to die for our sins. He is the ultimate sacrifice. It explains all this well in the Bible.

Yea, I know. Also why did a crappy little angel think he can overthrow God in Heaven? Pleeeeeeease. So instead of snapping his fingers and extinguishing this angel. God empowers him and gives him a throne in Hades. Now this dimwit angel rules over all those who are deemed unworthy of heaven. I know for a fact this angel is a Buffalo sports fan. I saw him at my bookies crib paying off his Sabres bet. He had the Bills plus the points in all those Superbowls. This guy is in control of Hell? Why all the craziness? Just stop it. Stop it right now.

No one really knows why He made us, but when He did make us He gave us free-will in hopes for us to chose Him. Jesus gave him self as a sacrifice to save us from eternal damnation. If we choose God we will be saved from Hell. Do what is right and good in the Lords eyes. Trust Jesus and He'll save you. THAT IS THE POINT. To spent eternity in Paradise in Heaven than burning in Hell.

The Quran tells us in one verse the whole purpose of Life:

To Worship the Creator. it's that simple.

secondly, with reguard to your Question. you may be asking because you are in doubt. which is completely normal.

because if you go to anyone and ask them to explain to you the trinity, they will not be able to give you an adequete answer.

Never once did Jesus (peace be upon him) claim to be God. If you look into the bible, if you have a red lettered one that highlights supposedly what Jesus has said, than never once will you find that he told his people to worship him. On the contrary, he said "Worship Thy Father Alone" i.e. worship God Alone.

Third of All, In Islam we believe in Jesus as a highly respected Prophet of Allah (God). just like Moses, Adam, Abraham, Noah, etc.

They All came with the same message : To worship the creator Alone.

Indeed, it is very blasphemous to say that Jesus Is God.
#1. Jesus was A human, and everyone will agree upon that. meaning he ate, slept, used the bathroom, etc. Things that Muslims Believe are not attributes fit for the Lord of the Universe, because he is free of all needs.

#2. The Christians believed that Jesus died on the Cross. How can God Die? if that were the case, than how can it be that he would be on the cross saying "Why have you forsaken me" to the one who is in heaven, if they were one in the same. and how is it that He knew he would die, but didnt know at the same time?

and if he died for 3 days, who was God during those 3 days?

nothing makes sense.

but everything in Islam Makes sense. wouldnt it be more logical that he were a Righteous Prophet of God, rather than God himself?

If you believe
1. that there is no object worthy of worship but Allah (God)
2. you believe in the angles
3. Heaven and hell
4. The Books that came before (the Old testament, Gospels, Quran)
5. you believe in the all the Prophets of God starting from Adam, including Moses, Jesus, Abraham, Noah, and Muhammad peace be upon all of them)
and finally
6. Divine decree.

than welcome to Islam.

Finally, if you do not wish to listen to anything i've said, at least do one thing which you have nothing to lose.

Seek guidance from God himself to guide you on the strait path, and see where it leads you.

I Swear by Allah, that if you Sincerely and whole-heartedly ask Him for Guidance to the truth. He will lead you to it.

you have nothing you lose.

I ask God to guide you all to the truth. ameen.

He did. He created us for fellowship and his enjoyment. The point is for us to be saved through the blood of Jesus Christ, to praise and worship God, and to spread the news to others.
