Jesus Christ may have indeed been a real person the religion however that likes to quote his name is a fabrication created by man. it does indeed serve a purpose as it helped to keep order in less civilized times , the more modern benefit of religion is to provide hope and stability in a seemingly bleak world, sins however are a fabrication of man, that is not to say that most things that are considered sins shouldnt be simply considered wrong but as far as going to some fantasy torture world "hell" more civilized people should conider the punishment for commiting sins should be the pain of our own morals.

Personally, I think the whole dying for people's sins was a bad idea...your followers went and started up Christianity, and after 2000 years, just look at the damage it's done. I mean, not that I don't appreciate it and all; I know your intentions were good, but you know how people are.

You didn't. The God I serve is a God of life and is all forgiving. He does not punish someone for the sins of others. He is a just God. And he rewards us for our good deeds and punishes us for our bad deeds but he is oft forgiving. On the day of judgement each of us will have to answer for our deeds good and evil. and noone will be able to answer for us or stand in our defense except the angels who write our deeds upon the tablets.
