I saw an old girlfriend today for the first time in a LONG time. We caught up on the years- gone- by and it was nice. She got married and has kids..... I didn't and I don't.

The years have been good to BOTH of us...... just independently.

What happens when YOU "catch up" with a long-lost love?

How does it feel?

What do you say?

What DON'T you say?

For most people it feels good just to know how things are going for the other person because most of the time you hope things are going well for them. One thing you don't say is miserable your life is. If it is then keep that to yourself just say things could be going better but it seems to be getting back to good. Don't give gory details about how much the break up hurt and how much you want to get back together and all that stuff. For the most part keep things very general because you know know how things have changed for them.

Well, it depends which one of my old flames I see. I have two of them that I hate cos they either lied to me or humiliated me. I spent years trying to find the one who humiliated me and I could never decide what would I do when I saw him: kill him with my sheer hands or tell him how happy I am with my current partner. Not so long ago I found him via the net at last and his profile showed that he was a neonazi. And so I decided not to get in touch with him. As for the other one who "just" lied to me. I still don't know whether I would talk to him at all and if yes what would I say. As for the other past flames I feel completely indifferent. We just greet each other then go by without stopping for a chat.

If she's married she's obviously found someone else to love and is happy and okay with her new life. If you don't feel the same way about her that you used to then you just chat like friends, or strangers. Dont mention anything about the past unless she brings it up first...its just kind of awkward.

wow that suckz man but ive been in relationships that are like rollercoaster rides.the old flames come back for some reason so far they always do but it all depends on the relationship was before you both parted from one another also.

It would depend on who it was. Some from my past I would rather leave there. Others I don't wish any ill will, it just didn't work for us. One thing to never say is have you ever wondered what it would have been like now if........ If it was ever meant to be, you'd be together now.

Well it all depend's if you still have feeling's for them. I wouldn't just come out and tell them since she is married and all...I mean if she is happy then don't try and brake her family up..Just ask her how she is..tell her ur glad her life is great..I really don't know
