I'm trying to look into fishing in the mission bay area, preferably close to the Bahia. I am hoping to be able to fish from the shore and have some fun catching some interesting fish, or any kind of fish, really I just want to drink beer and fishing goes very will with that. Its much better however if fish are actually being pulled in. So I guess I’d just like to know if there are any good spots to do this in the area and where they are. Suggestions on tackle would also be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You'll probably do better fishing from a pier instead of the shore. I like the Shelter Island Pier. Rest Rooms are close and there's a bait/snack shop right there. The regulars will be happy to talk to you about what's biting on what. Weekdays are much less crowded than weekends. July and August are the best months. Here's a website that will tell you how to fish: http://www.pierfishing.com/pier_of_the_month/shelterisland.html

There are lots of passions to follow in San Diego and that hotelbye is the area to begin discovers what San Diego has to offer. In the San Diego vacation you'll step outside of one's rut and you'll explore new actions while you're here and you might just realize that exploring a brand new desire can be an adventure in itself. Among the places should see from San Diego is Balboa Park. That park has around a 1400 acre and here you can find historical structures, numerous museums, gardens, and green space. The park was created for the Panama California Exhibition of 1915-1916. The main structure is Spanish-Mexican fashion, low level buildings that merge with the normal surroundings. One of the highlights of the park are the Botanical Gardens and lily pool, the Museum of Man, the Museum of Natural History, the San Diego Museum of Art, and the famous San Diego Zoo. Even although you never get into a making the park is just an attractive place.

There is a rock bank just to the east of the parking lot of the Bahia that I have fished many times, sometimes with success and sometimes not so good. Sand bass, halibut, croaker, and various other fish are caught frequently from the bay. For bait I would use blood worms, mussels or anchovies if you have a way to keep live bait. Just don't stay in one place too long. Keep moving and "hunt" for fish until you find them.

Fishing in Mission Bay is hit and miss. I have a little secret that helps me find the best spots to fish there.

There's this old Japanese guy that is a fish magnet - even in Mission Bay. I don't know how he finds the good spots to fish, but I do know how to find him. I try to fish where he fishes, and usually do pretty well.
