I don't think that at this point, assuming your grandfather has already died, that he should figure into this at all.
If he left the money to you, then it is your money and your decision.
What do you think would be fair? How would you feel if your brother had gotten it all and you were the one disinherited?
You and your brother alone know the reasons your grandfather had for his actions. If you believe his reasoning was justified and agree with him, then no, don't share it. But if this was done on a whim that you think he might have eventually changed his mind about again, then you have to do what you feel in your heart would be the fair thing.
Your grandfather gave you a gift. It is yours to decide what you do with it.

The "regulations" fluctuate from usa to usa. in america you may make a "will" and go away you money to whomever you desire. Even outsiders or charities. thoroughly by ability of-passing your important different and giving it instantly on your little ones or to whomever. see you later because the desire is determined up wisely and would't be contested... you may go away your fortune to Mickey Mouse. What you do is your own agency and also you may persist with your own "moral" code. once you've an present day will and also you keep in mind that the project replaced. (little ones are transforming into up and getting on their personal, etc.) then sit a minimum of once each 10 years and make ameliorations to the desire as you spot in wonderful condition. that's better appropriate to be sparkling and call each and each beneficiary and do not assume that in case you both bypass at the same time that your inheritance will be split frivolously between your surviving little ones... it ought to bring about an gruesome courtroom conflict over who receives what... so do your self and your heirs a choose and be very, very certain and address the any probability which includes the probability that both you and your husband ought to die at the same time. (i.e. call the order of beneficiaries for this project and how a lot each and each is meant to get).

it's your money now......why did Grandpa disinherit him? Does he use drugs of gamble? Will the money go only to evil? If bro is a good guy.......not perfect, but not BAD....I probably would. That's me though. If he has a problem....I would use some of the money to get him some help and maybe set him up when he is clean.

It really depends why your brother was left out. If it was for a good reason (he once stole from your grandfather, he's irresponsible, etc), I would say respect your grandfather's wishes-- you brother needs to be held accountable for his actions. If not, then if you want to give him some, go ahead.

If you don't think he was taken out of the will for a good reason, then it would be nice of you to give some of your share. Just don't tell your grandpa what you're planning on doing.

Perhaps, if you brother didn't do anything wrong to your grandfather and there's no reason why he was taken out, then you should give him a little of it.

Depends how greedy you are. If i got a big chunk of money in anyway, I'd prob give a lil to close friends and family and invest the half the rest.

hell , give me a share too sis. someone on their deathbed had a good reason for doing what he did. that's a good gesture giving him some. ask your brother why he was taken out first, you may change your mind. maybe granpa found out he was a child molester or something drastic.
