well my mom would kill me. it becasue if raised properly. if i ever thought that i would die in a couple of seconds.

My mom wasn't so prone to violence. However, telling her to shut up would be crossing a *huge* line of basic respect. What happened to me would depend on how old I was. Doing that when I was little would have gotten me punished big time. If I did it when I was, say 16 or older, I expect my mom would treat it more like an adult telling her to shut up.

no problam is solved when angry. by slapping your child you are going to make things even worse. ask her to go to her room.after you calm down communicate with her & let her know that this behaviour is not acceptable.make her feel guilty for such bad talk. if the parents are together & respect each other the child will dare not disrespect either parent. such behaviour comes about when the child feels he can get away with it. you need to first analyse where you as a parent whent wrong.

My mom would go off like there's no tomorrow. I remeber when I got hit with a vaccum cleaner once.

I don't know, I never tried it. I got belted once in the grocery store just for asking if we could get some cereal.

When I was a kid I'd have got spanked, probably. Nowadays she'd just yell at me and go into the whole "if I'd ever tried to talk to your grandmother that way..." speech. :P
