Your puppy is probably not trying to bite to harm anyone. If anything, your puppy is trying to play. It all depends on how you approach your puppy. You can't be aggresive with it. You have to let your puppy know that it can trust you and your family members. Try holding your hand out and letting your puppy come to it. Let it touch you first. It may also be nervous. Sometimes puppies are scared around children and that is why it may have tried to get your sister. Be gentle with it. They are really good dogs if you treat them gently. And, instead of using the word stop...use eeehhh, like a grunt. It will think you are it's mother and pretty much behave immediately. Show your puppy that you are the authority, don't let it do what it wants to do around you.

He's just a baby---talk to your vet about this---see if anything can be done--
Maybe you and your mom can set up rules for your sis
The dog can't say stop, so they only thing it can do it bite---usually they will give some warning before---
Talk to the vet--there may be some behavior modification---
Right now he has puppy teeth, a few months more it can get worse

What a little horror...4 months and he thinks he is top dog!!!!...Come on, get a grip, teach your dog some manners, and if you can't then get someone to help you, like your Mum...or perhaps go to a neighbor or friend who has a dog...tell them what is happening and ask them to help you stop it....do it now before the dog bites your litte sister or even you....

If the the dog tries to bite you dont get scared, if it tries to again just hit it with a newspaper it will sooner or later learn.Oh, if you think that this is abusive and cruel its how they learn.

I agree with sillygoose. I do the same with my puppy. Pin him down on his side until he stops fighting it and then let off it. Everytime he does something bad yell 'no bite' or just 'no'. he'll get the point eventually.

I have a hamster problem similar to ur dog problem! he needs more 'tlc' tender, love, and care! don't be scared b/c he can smell fear on u! Something else could be wrong with it! take it to a local vet and have it check out a.s.a.p. just incase it has rabbies or something along the lines!

the only way is to show him you are the boss and he must listen. try this, start playing with him then lay him on his side and "pin" his shoulder to the ground and hold him there for a couple seconds. he will "get" your the boss.do this little exersize whenever he gets too big for his britches.

You need to show him your the alpha, your sister also. If you let him do whatever he wants he may bite, he thinks he's the alpha. When your Mom is around she must be the alpha.

Get him to obedience training. It will teach you how to train your dog, give you more confidence around him, and teach him that he can't growl at children.
