At Stern Grove in San Francisco.

Walk down the steps of a two-story victorian through a wooded path to a clearing of a redwood grove. "At Last" by Etta James is played in the background. As soon as the ceremony starts the sun clears away the fog and shines through the trees (this makes my mom tear up). We do humanist vows that are respectful to all faiths in front of 75 close family and friends.

We can walk to the reception in the victorian house where there is a tasty buffet and tables decorated with miniature white roses.
We would have a large family table where both sides of the family could celebrate together. Other tables arrange guests by interests or connection. There is dancing and an divine tasting wedding cake -- chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting, and coffee liquor filling.

We throw our bouquet and garter from a balcony and make a getaway from the groom's motorcycle.

My ideal wedding actually came true almost 11 years ago.

The only thing I needed for my wedding was the man I loved and still love. Thats the only thing that should truely matter. everything else is unnecessary extras just to add to the day. I did have a wedding though and it was great, but I would have been happy with just me and him. we had just close people, about 40-50 and we got married in Niagara Falls. My reception was at my parents house and my mom made all the food. we got cheap decorations at the dollar store and a cute little wedding cake from the grocery store bakery. It was great and such a wonderful day.

Ideal wedding would be the wedding I am having next month. Upon planning the wedding my finace and I knew that we wanted something simple, elegant and romantic (ok I wanted the romance part he's a man haha what can we expect?) We decided on having a wedding at my parents house which is the house I grew up in. A tent decorated in flowers and toole candles cascading down. White Roses and Cala Lilly's everywhere. Only our close friends and family in attendence. I on my dad's arm, as he is walking me down to my husband-to-be. As Ricky holds my hand mouthing "I love you" we begin to say our vows, as we both say I do and the rings go on our fingers, to know that this man, a man who changed my life. How much he loves me and I love him. Dancing to our song "A moment like this"

My ideal wedding, if money wasn't an issue: On the beach, somewhere like Fiji or Barbados, I would fly all of my family and friends to the island. My flowers would be gerber daisies and the rest of my colors would coordinate. We would ride up on horses and remain on them throughout the ceremony, just as the sun is setting we would ride off into the sunset. Instead of the guests throwing rice or blowing bubbles they would do the butterfly release just as we rode off. We would serve a light meal on the beach with plenty of fine wines and other tasty drinks, with dancing and beautiful music into the night.

my ideal wedding would be at sunset on the beach with just close family and friends and then a moonlight cruise for the few brave souls who want to go along for the ride then for a honeymoon a trip to some exotic secluded tropical locale with sound proof walls and lots of free champagne

It doesn't have to be perfect. I want a low key kind of event, with the people closest to us around. Not overly formal, lots of fun, music, dancing, alcohol, laughs and good times. Throw in a cake, a couple of rings, some pretty dresses and a veil for good measure!

I think the most romantic way to get married would be to have my bf surprise me at a family get together by asking me to marry him and already have everything set up to do the ceremony right then and there, surrounded by our closest friends and family. Nothing elaborate or outragious, just thoughtful and sentimental.
