It is said that everyone on the planet is connected to every one else on the planet with a maximum of 12 degrees of separation: in other words there is someone you you, that knows someone that knows someone that .... 12 times over ... that knows the person you want to keep in touch with. Start making contacts and who knows where it could lead ... you might hear from the president before your friend, but that's unlikely. Good luck.
