i'd be extremely embarrassed... my mom can't sing her way out of a paper bag... i'm guessing your question says: "What would happen if your mother started singing R & B?" ?

My mom is 84 years young and after going into shock, I'd probably join in! (At her retirement party at 65 years old, the 'young people' couldn't get over how she could 'bust a move'! She's not athletic, just has good rhythm.)
Now, if she started doing rap, I'd be rushing her to the hospital emergency ward!

Honey I am a mother and i will sing right along with my teens and they never complain. All my teens friends thinks I am the COOL mom. lol...

People sing when they are happy. Let her enjoy.
Well, unless, of course, she is terrible. Then be kind (as kind as you can) and just let her know it's not cool in public.

first of all enjoy the new conection with your mom and thank god you been blessed with it. the encourage her to get the latest coolest and hippest albums that just came out she will anjoy them and so will you win win situation. good luck and say hi to your moms for me
