Why you say that? I am an Evangelical, and I do not think that all of us are the malevolent sect in Christianity - I know I might risk saying this, but you have some good evangelicals out there who still carry the name of Christianity genuinely. Whiles yes it is true that some Evangelicals will threaten and make others scared, you have others who will still share hope and love to those in the world who are in trouble.
A good view is like the ones in Jamaica - a place were we have hundreds of churches per square mile, the most in that capacty in the world. Yet many churches are not welcoming because of the principle thats carried out. We started with few churches around, and because many persons want to have their way and are disobedient to higher authoriity, they break away to form their church - no form of principle however is apply to the leadership and administration in some of these churches, and this is where malevolence comes from. When somethine happens to someone who may have sined - the idea of the church is to help, to heal, and to allow the person to start life over again, or continue without having to be condemned. Yet, the real case is, these people are comdemned and many people have withdrawn from the church entirely - this is the reason why in Jamaica, with many churchs, we have almost the highest crime rate in the world, because of the lack of respect for the church in this regard. High demand from the congregation contributes this too. But I am happy that I am in a church, where we teach the world, and we do not inflict hatred or harm to others, and that is why people are so drawn to our ministry, and people always want to come back, because of the loving people we have.
So not all evangelicals are that bad - just the few who go out, making a mockery of God and the Church - but you have the rest that truly stands up for what Christianity is.
I know that it may not be the favourable answer, but this is from my heart - in life, you do have the bad --- but surely, and Thank God, you have the good and faithful. :)

Currently the most evil?
You've got my vote for American evangelicals. The combination of crazy fundamentalist religion that focuses on the very worst parts of the old testament, out-and-out KKK type bigotry, and fascist politics is very scary indeed.
It makes for nasty bullies with delusions of superiority and righteousness. Like all bullies, when they are given a bloody nose after incredibly provocative and nasty behavior, they feel oh so put upon.

Any sect of Christianity that would twist the Bible to support their personal agenda. The United Methodists, and the anglican church.
Disclamer: There are good people within these denominations, their main church theology has become a little wishy washy.

I recommend you do a touch more desirable straightforward analyze like: witchcraft and Wicca aren't to any extent further interchangable words and Wiccans do not often contain themselves with malevolent spirits, neither is there a Wiccan record stating malevolent spirits through call. counting on what you mean through "malevolent spirit," many Wiccans do not even trust one of those class is sensible and/or precise.

What do you mean, which sect? All christianity is violent or would be given half the chance. The only difference between Pat Roberston, Pope Ratfink and Osama bin Laden is what they can get away with.

Sorry to burst some of your bubbles, but we Catholics will be around until the end of time. Like I have said before out here, the Catholic church has the Fullness of the Truth, instituted by Jesus Christ Himself and built upon Peter (the rock) who Jesus personally selected and gave him the keys to the kingdom. From Peter on down to Pope Benedict XVI, there has been a line of apostolic succession and as Jesus himself said "And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it". This is Absolute Truth.

this is really a stupid question. Are you implying there is a good cult of Christians?? Why choose just one. If I were to have to choose the 'best' (I don't have to, but I will be objective), I would have to say the Catholics are the original version, and therefore the best. All other junk churches are copy cats and poor ones at that.. Personally, I do not need any of them.

Hmmmm...how about the "False" ones! lol
I'm not biggot, and I respect alot of different denominations (not all - mind you...); so, in my opinion: Irreguardless of the label they wear, if they're FALSE ~ than we can do without them.
you think we can do without 'evangelicals'... someone's been Bible THumping you, have they??!? lol
Anyway, God Bless. Good Luck with your question. (even though I don't believe in luck~just a figure of speech.)
