yes, Royce Gracie is his name. Matt Hughes won, 1st round ref stoppage. hughes dominated.

Matt Hughes owned that fight ... and Gracie was not undefeated before he stepped into the ring against Matt (Royce could not compete in UFC 4 or 5 after his brutal fight against Kimo. Kimo tapped, but beat up Royce so much that he had to be helped out and then helped back for the next match, which Royce forfeited to Howard Harold). However, I would expect false hype to build Gracie up in an organization ran by the Gracie family.

I'm on the same page as Andrew. If you are referring to Royce Gracie, you seriously did not need to ask this question because the question has been asked far too many times. If you're a newbie to Yahoo Answers, then fine but asking the same question that has been answered a million times gets old. I think a better question would be, "What Brazillian Fighter should Hughes fight next?"......I might have to ask that myself.*lol* Watch out!

i love Matt Hughes, yet no human being continues to be on correct perpetually. i don't understand that i'd call Royce Gracie his ideal defeat, Gracie had his day in the solar, and now it really is over. similar to Shamrock and Couture. Hughes is perfect proper this second, yet what is going up could come down.

there are several brazilian ufc fighters that matt hughes has gone up against.. if you are referring to royce gracie, he did win against him via referree stoppage in the first round.(this fight has been asked about at least a dozen times :D)..
