You can tell them that you KNOW you have what it takes to take care of a dog...Maybe you could babysit one of your friends dogs and show to your parents that you ARE responsible...And tell them that you would be doing all the work..And eventualy your parents WILL fall in love with the dog!!! If its the right dog!!!!! Hope I helped

Show the responsibility rather than tell them.
Keep your things in order.
complete chores in a timely manor without complaining.
treat siblings with kindness and respect along with your parents.
Make a list of all the ways the dog will change your life stile and the things you will need to do for the dog and describe just how you will accomplish the tasks and finely explain what you will do if
the dog becomes more than you can handle.
But please be sure your ready to commit to the dog for 10 years because if all go 's well it will live that long.
Good luck if you get your way

Show them your responsible enough. Owning a dog is not all fun and games they cost money, need to be cleaned up after, played with, etc. Most parents when they get their kids a dog end up having to take care of them, and that's probably what your parents are thinking, besides the cost of owning one, not just buying food, but shots, getting the dog fixed, what if he/she get sick vet visits aren't cheap. Good Luck!!

They think your not ready yet and for reminder they are thinking it's your responsibility to take care of a dog. But, if you really want a dog tell them your ready. And if you need some index look here at www.akc.org

Same thing here! Exept my Dad is thinking abouut it and my mum is like not happy about it! Do what I'm doing and like go on the internet every single second of your life and look up every breed of dog there is and show your parents the cutest photos of your favourite breed of dog until they give in (belive me it works my mum is starting to like Chihuahuas now after hating every single dog there is!) Try it!

Simply talk bout dogs 24/7.. Like in everyting u do, in everything u say add something bout dogs.. Till they think you are very desperate to have a dog.. And maybe they will be very irritated by your continouos saying of DOGS,dogs,dogs.. dont' worry, sooner or later they will give up... and give you one probably on your birthday or even b4 school starts...

Tell them that you will be COMPLETELY responsible for taking care of the dog. If they see that you are being serious and that you are responsible, then maybe they will consider it.
