The way you wrote that is confusing...save on what? Save for saving? I didn't really have extra money to save, but now i try to save like $10 or $20 a month. I didn't spend anything but gas money going to the doctors because i had medicaid....and i don't know what i wouldve done without it.

hard for me to understand your question. But if you are still pregnant. The main thing you need to save up and collect are diapers. You can come across anything else. Hell you can wash three shirts over and over if you have to but diapers are a most. When someone ask you what you need, tell everybody diapers. Each time you get paid, buy some diapers. When the baby is newborn you can buy the cheap kind because they dont' pee or poop real heavy. You can put diapers on layaway at walmart. If you have 250 pampers when the baby is born, and you take home the diapers they give you at the hospital, you will have enough pampers for damn near three months. That's alot ! You need at least 15 onesies, or five packs, bottles at least 6 to start with and at least 5 recieving blankets. You get tons of stuff at the hospital you can take home everything in the bottom of your baby's hospital bed. You need baby clippers vaseline if it's a boy, pacifiers and lots of baby wipes. I'm telling you alot and not sure if I'm answering your question, but if you want to know more you can email me at brookepotts@yahoo.com
it's not about saving, cuz if you get what you need before you have the baby you'll be fine for a while

There is absolutley no reason for you to have to pay for a doctor's visit. All states have a medical care program for any pregnant woman, you will apply at your county's social service department. Their phone number and address are typically found in the government section of your phone book and usually are highlighted in blue or something on the sides of the pages. I had a baby when I was 14 and there was never enough money. My man worked 2 jobs and I usually worked at least 30 hours a week. We never had enough of anything. If your are contemplating becoming pregnant and are currently employeed I urge you to save every penny you can from now on. Best wishes

Insurance covered everything medical, i had to pay the first visit which was a $10 copay and then my checkup 6 weeks after i delivered for $10. I'd save as much as possible, especially if child support isnt going to be involved. And definetly have a baby shower.. I got all the newborn clothes & accessories I needed

Not very much considering I try to stay clean and healthy. When it comes to babies,it is very important that they get their shots on time and their checkups! After the 1st 15 months the docter visits kinda slow down a bit.But YES,get some sort of insurance whether it be medicaid or the babies father providing it! In some states its the law for the father to keep insurance only on the baby. But still keep your self on medicaid for at least the 1st year after having a baby.Dont forget to take care of mommy too!Lots of luck with your baby, its one of the best times for mommy and baby!

I think this is a trick question. You don't save anything, because you would spend it all on baby stuff! I agree with the medicaid thing. You can even have a water birth on medicaid! and then wic and all that when you have the child....just DON'T get married before the child is 2, or you have a better career.
