if their plastic toys put them in a mixture of bleach and water for the book i guess get a damp rag wih the same misture and wipe it off.or burn it.

I would throw the books away or try spray them with lysol and you can put the toys in the dishwasher and if you don't have one dilute water with a little bleach and soak them.

Weird problem! But bleach should clean the toys and the books may just have to be tossed.
