You mean 'when SOME Christians preach'. I don't know, but I think they are just acting. They put toothpaste in their mouths.
Who argues with a man who is foaming at the mouth? And when he tells you to give LOTS of MONEY, you just do it!

Ah, you must be talking about speaking in tongues. I know it's weird, I'll try to explain it.

In acts, there is something called the pentacost when a bunch of christians came together and started speaking to one another. There was visible "tongues of flame". More importantly, they could understand and speak to one another in their own languages. Yeah, many of the early Christians didn't even speak the same languages.

Some people have interpretted speaking in tongues as an uncontrollable spiritual outburst in some wierd language.

Umm, it's weird and non-scriptural. The real speaking in tongues requires you to be in complete control of yourself and able to understand and be understood. I really don't know why pentacostal churches preach this "Speaking in tongues" as the Holy Spirit.

I think some of them don't truly know if they believe what they say. You can make someone think that they believe something and get them to go out and sell it, by making them forget what they already know until they're just dealing with emotions. all the while, keep asserting the new beliefs to them and eventually its emotions + beliefs = foaming at the mouth.

You must test what you let yourself believe. True passion is persuasive.

I don't know. I have been treated poorly by many SELF- RIGHTEOUS, 'Christians', in this forum. Funny thing, people sure can dish it out, but they can't take their lumps.
JUDGE POLICE, they know who they are, the ones who demand 'stop judging', whenever they see something they don't like. Fact is, I don't participate here to the get endless mindless responses(just to get points). I seek, to engage in challenging, deep interchanges, with the objective of sharpening minds,
Including my own. Hey let's up our image!

It's because they are uncertain of what they are 'preaching'... No one really knows the whole 'truth' about God and religion- where it comes from, where it originated and who started it!
