You could have your doctor put you on an oral anti-fungal medication, but be patient.........it takes months to clear up.
It's not an uncommon thing, especially in older people and/or diabetics. So don't let it bother you. I'm sure it doesn't take away from your dazzling personality. :)

Does the nail grow upwards now? A lot of times nail problems are a fungus, which is in us all the time... but when it gets out of hand, you gotta buck down and get medicine. Foot doctors can perscribe all kinds of creams. Don't do it! If you decide it needs to be cured with a pill, that's your best bet.
It sucks when feet go evil. There's not much else that can be done.
Also note: Don't let anyone fool you into thinking it has ANYTHING to do with Athlete's Foot. It doesn't. Done and done.
Hope that helps a little.

You might have developed an infection under the nail bed. Go to the doctor and have the nail removed. Then apply an antiseptic to it every day. It will take about 9 months for the nail to grow out again, but it will be well worth it. You will regain your pretty nail!

Sounds like you need to go to the doctor and have your nail removed. After they remove it once it grows back it will be normal.

There are certain types of infections that can cause this to happen. You should ask your doctor to have a look, especially if there is any discoloration, or if it is painful. If it is some sort of infection, it can usually be cleared up with oral medication.

if it is curving towards your toe, clip it with large toenail clippers. that is and ingrown toenail. it is not dangerous or anything, it has just benn allowed to grow too long. or maybe i am wrong, judging by the last answer. I didn't see your details. ask your doctor. then act.
