An internet alias seems to make some brain-dead addicts feel free to display their lack of intelligence and their pride of belonging to the class of mental slaves and gullible suckers.
The inability to think is certainly not a human asset nor is the haste to display one's naivete a sign of intelligence.
The Bible encourages the human gift of being able to reason in the Gospel of Mark 12:28-34, yet the freaks blindly rush in where Angels fear to tread.

I think this behavior occurs outside the internet as well- I have found that people don't need an internet alias to entertain others with their stupidity.
I also find intolerable that most people neglect to use individual thought analysis to form an opinion, especially on issues of morality.
Particularly disgusting do I find people's equating legality with morality. But, unfortunately, my rebellion against this concept has sometimes gotten me in trouble! lol.. anyway,
Very nicely worded question. Thank you! It is so good to know there is intelligent life out there (in this YAnswers world). So many of the answers and questions on here make me cringe from their lack of anything resembling logic or cohesiveness.

The words "addict" and "conscience" are polar opposites.

An addict who is using is insane. There is no sanity; there is no conscience; there is no compassion; there is no spirit. The using addict is driven by the need to find more drugs. So trying to reason with an addict that is still using is insanity, as well.

Would you expect a rabbid dog to be able to sit, fetch, and sit in your lap and take a nap? No. Then why expect a raving addict to be a reasonable, cognative human being?

Leave the addict to his own demise. If you are living with an addict, find a group for co-dependents or for partners of addicts/alcoholics.

ALANON, NARCANON, there are meetings everywhere in this nation in just about every Methodist and Catholic Church that start as early as 6:00 a.m. in the morning. Start helping your own addiction-- yes, your addiction---to the addict.

Your addiction is his/her need to need you---Co-dependency and enabling. Believe it or not, you are as sick as the person who is the addict. You can't help the addict. They will have to get clean when they decide they are powerless.

Right now, you need to leave them alone----leave them in the world they made for themselves---and get thee to a meeting!

All those that profess Christianity would do themselves a great service if they would only study the foundation of their beliefs by reading the Bible.
