Tiger held all 4 majors at the same time but not in 1 calendar year. He won the US Open, British Open , and PGA in 2001 season and the Masters in 2002. This is known as the "Tiger Slam" but Bobby Jones is the only one to win the true Grand Slam in one season.

When Bobby Jones won his "Grand Slam" in 1930 the major golf tournaments were the U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur, British Open & British Amateur. The Masters had not yet been created (1934), and he couldn't have played in the PGA Championship, because it is for professionals only.

Today the four majors are The Masters, U.S. Open, British Open & PGA Championship, which nobody has won in the same calendar year. Tiger Woods is the only player to have won 4 consecutive majors. Ben Hogan won the first three majors in 1953, but could not play in the PGA Championship because it was held almost concurrently with the British Open, making it impossible to play in both of those tournaments that year.

Only five players have won all four majors in their career: Gene Sarazan, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.

I think Tiger Woods won all 4 in a row... but did not win them in the same year, which Bobby Jones did.
