Went to Bible college for a few years and gained a better understanding. But people don't need college to share the Word. The Holy Spirit will pick up where you leave off.

The bible is difficult. It is not little verses meant for you and your life. Remember, mostly they are letters written from one man to another man about something they were already discussing.

One chapter was not meant as a chapter when it was written. It is one big long letter.

Take a break. If you remember that God is love, the law was there to prove that we couldn't follow it, even the apostles were non believers; Paul and the apostles did not agree on teachings; men make mistakes and have opinions - even men whose writings are in the bible - if you realize this, maybe it won't seem so stressful or important.

Whether you understand or believe or be good - or not - you are inseperable from God.

Yes that happens more often than not for me. I think it is because the Word of God can speak to us directly and we apply it to our lives. But for others, or even for a collective group of believers it can mean something completely different. I think that Bible study makes the most since in small groups where you can bounce ideas and opinions about what the Bible means off of each other and maybe figure things out easier.
God Bless

Actually I have studied the Bible for many years even going to college to do so.
As an ordained Minister I will freely tell you that I still don't understand it all.

I have been reading everyday and I try to learn what i can relate to now because you can't just read it once and think you got it all. It has to be studied and absorbed.
