Lemons are the best (and cheapest) all natural way to highlight your hair. Just cut the lemon in half and run it down the length of your hair where ever you want the highlight to be.

a mixture of chamomile tea (make it strong - use about 4 bags for one cup and steep it for 10 minutes)
after it cools off add about 1/4 cup of lemon juice ( the amount you would get from one big ripe lemon.
Add about 4 capfuls of hydrogen peroxide to the mix.
*** Important ***Do not use more than this or it can damage your hair.
Mix it all together and put it in a spray bottle.
Spray it in your hair once a day after you shower and use a blow dryer or before you go out in the sun,
You will be amazed at the beautiful highlights you will get.

naturally? you mean without dye?
Well I know as a fact that putting lemon juice in your hair makes it lighter, so maybe streak lemon juice on ad highlights...
Might work.
I don't know any other natural ways to highlight...
I had the same problem with my mom a couple months ago.
Tell her that it's your hair not hers, and that you should be allowed to controll your looks and even though you know that she's trying to do what's best for you, she's holding you back.
Believe me, these kind of talks work.
I used to be normal, but then my mom got loose and now I'm a crazy *****! =P
Just kidding, just crazy

you could sit in the sun all day and continuously do this until it is sunlit. or you could try sun~in it is almost natural but the down side is I used it and it still hasn't come out after 3 yrs. I think my mom got it at Walmart.

are you asking what do you need if you are going to highlight it yourself? just go to the store and get some hair dye in a box, but i would reccomend getting it done professionally.
