Is your 'friend' sexually active? If so she could have an STD...HPV (warts) or the herpes virus..or she might have chlamydia or gonorrhea....if she isn't sexually active it could be a very bad yeast infection if she has cottage-cheese like discharge..
I know yahoo answers is a good place to come to find out what you might have before going to the doctor..but she is going to HAVE to go to the doctor becuase none of these issues are treatable over the counter except a yeast infection, but even then she has to go to the doctor to make sure it is a yeast infection...
so, unfortunately..I would just tell 'her' to go to the doctor...they see weird things everyday and aren't going to judge you...
hope that helps 'her' out..
tell her good luck..

while itching may just be an allergic reaction... has she used new laundry detergent, soaps, it may also be something more serious. If her bumps open and ooze and are very painful it very well may be Herpes. She will need to see a Dr for topical and oral medication. Even if she has not had intercourse, it may be transmitted through oral if her partner has had a cold sore, it can be transmitted to the genitalia. If she has discharge and a foul odor, it may be a yeast or other vaginal infection. I don't know what state you live in, but in some states, sexual history of minors cannot be conveyed to parents. You friend should really go to her physician or a local clinic... just for peace of mind if not for any other reason. In the meantime, wash with mild scent free soap, and wear white cotton underwear to let the area 'breathe'. Good Luck

I would go to the doctor, I was scared half to death when I was itching, you always make it out to be worse than it really is. I went running to the doctor thinking something horrible like gonorrhea and it just turned out to be a yeast infection. Don't be scared, they have treatments for just about everything

She really does need to see a doctor. If she is sexually active that is probably why she is afraid to go. I hate to really say it, but that it is a typical symptom of herpes. Again, it may not be, it could be something else.
Therefore, with that thought in mind, she needs to see a doctor. The truth is the truth, what happens happens and she needs to learn to deal with that, she cannot hide from the truth if that is what it is. she cannot stop what has already occurred.

There's nothing anybody here can do for her. Nobody here is a doctor and even if somebody were a doctor, he couldn't examine her over the internet and give her a prescription.
She probably is not scared to go to a doctor, but rather, is embarrassed to go. Tell her to get over her embarrassment and get to a doctor, because she will suffer and it will get worse and that is what doctors are for.

She needs to go to the doctor. She may have something as simple as a yeast infection, or as serious as an STD. In any case she needs to see a doctor.

if this is a serious question as some with these topics aren't..tell her to go to the doctor..scared or not..it could be herpes which won't go away.also it could be an allergy from the soap she uses and if you live in a hot state..could be the heat too but she must go to the doc....it might be something that requires meds.
