I read that and I dont remember anyone dying in the beginning...maybe you misread it. Thats the one with Hester and Pearl, right? Well they didn't kill her...so I'm not sure what you are talking about

I've read it some years ago. "Scarlet Letter" is consider as a female's rights books. Also, this book has written in 18th century, when some small groups were trying to achieve out some rights for women.
Writer wants to mentioned readers, women rights to electing their husband, sex's freedoms, etc.
Also writer wants to say that woman killed because she had lover.
