If in doubt, consult a qualified medical professional in person as soon as possible... don't trust an answer from any internet big mouth.

That sounds like ringworm to me. If you have a cat, your son could have gotten it from there. It's not a big deal though. I've always used ahtlete's foot cream. Pretty much any kind of anti-fungal cream will work. Just be sure to look for new spots to make sure it doesn't spread. A few days on the cream should do the trick. If he's still got it by the end of the week, I'd call the doctor just in case.

My 20 month old is covered in a rash like you described.... but his is hives.... it is now covering about 90% of his body. He had a bad allergic reaction to his antibiotics. I would get him checked. When my little guy started breaking out we thought he had been attacked by mesquite's. When we got tho the hospital his airways were beginning to close up. They said a reaction like that could come from many things. New foods, detergents etc. Be safe! You never know! My son has had this med 3 times before reacting. Get him checked!

It sounds like it could be ring worm which is NO BIG DEAL! It isn't a worm at all, but just a rash (fungus, I believe). You do have to go to the doctor to get the cream for treatment. I believe it is fairly contagious, but very easy to get rid of. Head to the doctor and he/she will tell you what to do!

I remember having a ring worn when I was little. It was small round/oval shaped & I seem to remember it having lines circling thru it. My Omi got me this stuff called Blue Star I believe, it's a small little container that is supposed to rid it...worked for me. I also copied a link below from WebMD to help with some questions you might have.

It sounds like he might have ringworm. Do you have cats? Cats are a carrier for ringworm. Lotrimen works great. It's an over the counter cream that you should be able to get at any pharmacy/drug store. Good luck!

Chances are it is. It is important you take your child to the doctors. In order to get rid of it, if it is ring worm you need anti-biotics! I think it is contagious also, so use precautions! Good Luck and I hope your son is OK!

Ringworm is a fungal infection of the skin. If you believe he has it, take him to his pediatrician and he'll prescribe a cream for it. It's no big deal. I had it once when I was 10.
