If you don't want to delete Windows you have two options:

1) run a live CD -- this means Linux will run from the CD drive and not install to your system.
2) resize your Windows partition (part) of the hard drive to make room for Linux so that you can have both Windows and Linux on the hard drive.

To make a live CD, just download a live CD .iso file like Ubuntu and burn it to a CD as a *disk image*. You have to burn it as a disk image or it won't work (see the tutorial below).

To install to your hard drive next to Windows, you need to defragment your hard drive first. Then backup all of your data. Put the Ubuntu live CD in your CD drive and boot from it. Then click on "install" on the desktop. It will give you the option to "resize" your partition. Make your Windows partition smaller to make room for Linux. Ubuntu will take care of the rest.

Just be sure to back up your files first. If it is your first time using Linux, consider trying Ubuntu.

What is "linux face"?

Where did you get the CD?

If you downloaded this file, did you burn it correctly (see my source for instructions) ISO files are not burned like many other files.

What version of Linux is it? I assume that's what you're talking about.

if it is on iso then you must burn the bootable version, then start the pc.
the linux you have must be a live-version because if not you'll need a free partition on your hard drive to install it.
