Paul receives a foul call for those few verses that present day theologians do not imagine he wrote. They were later additions. Letters that are likely written through Paul prepare appreciate to females leaders contained in the homestead church homes. Romans 16: a million-15 names 7 females and mentions a pair others. The Qur'an, what little i have study, does require a guy to provide for his spouse and in no way take yet another spouse until eventually he can do it with out diminishing the component of the first spouse. the completed Adam and Eve tale are parable or delusion with the point of teaching eternal truths, and there are a number of distinct training you'll get from the tale. I see that Eve became deceived yet Adam pick to sin.

The woman clothed with the sun and a crown of 12 stars is Mary. She gives birth to Jesus Christ. The dragon is satan. The one-third of the stars that the devil knocks down are Catholic Bishops and priests. The woman that flees to the desert and is protected by God is the persecuted Catholic Church.

It's a dream or vision. Written by the author to a community under persecution. Much of Revelation is allegory, and speaks to specific situations of that time. The point was to encourage the Christians being persecuted, that ultimately God would prevail. It probably made sense to them, but probably wasn't intended to mean anything to all people of all times.

1 A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth.
Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems.
Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth.
She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod.
Her child was caught up to God and his throne.
The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God, that there she might be taken care of for twelve hundred and sixty days.
She is supposed to be the mother of the Christian followers. Sounds suspiciously pagan to me.

Now there's a good fable. Talk about twisting the truth!
