Found a "Groom Lake" at:
37 16 5 N Latitude 115 47 58 W Longitude
In Google Maps, follow Hwy. 93 North from Las Vegas until you get to the junction of Hwy. 375 which goes SWW or Hwy. 318 which goes North. (Hwy. 93 turns East at this point.) Hwy. 375 apparently has the nickname "The Extraterrestrial Highway," as it is so marked in Google Maps.
Still in Google Maps, follow 375 southwest until it turns northwest. At this point there is a road that continues southwest. Keep going southwest until the map turns blue, indicating you are on the military base.
Strangely (or not so strangely, I guess) all the roads disappear from the map once you enter the base. They resume again if you continue southwest, but you don't want to do that.
Set the zoom to about 2 or 5 miles, and then click the "Satellite" button to get the satellite photo. You'll see a big, white, dry lakebed, with some roads and an airstrip. Compare this to the satellite photos you get when you do a search on Google Images for "Area 51" to make sure you've got the right place.

Area 51 (also known as Dreamland, Watertown Strip, Paradise Ranch, The Farm, The Box, Groom Lake, and The Directorate for Development Plans Area) is a remote tract of land in southern Nevada, owned by the federal government of the United States, containing an airfield apparently used for the secret development and testing of new military aircraft. It is famed as the subject of many UFO conspiracy theories.

Nevada. Area 51, also known as Groom Lake, is a secret military facility about 90 miles north of Las Vegas. The number refers to a 6-by-10-mile block of land, at the center of which is a large air base the government will not discuss. The site was selected in the mid-1950s for testing of the U-2 spyplane, due to its remoteness, proximity to existing facilities and presence of a dry lake bed for landings. Groom Lake is America's traditional testing ground for "black budget" aircraft before they are publicly acknowledged. The facility and surrounding areas are also associated -- with varying levels of credibility -- with UFO and conspiracy stories. In 1989, Bob Lazar claimed on a Las Vegas television station that he had worked with alien spacecraft at Papoose Lake, south of Area 51. Since then, "Area 51" has become a popular symbol for the alleged U.S. Government UFO cover-up.

Near Rachel, Nevada.
from Las Vegas.. Take 15 north, take the 93 exit north, take a left at 375 exit, look for Groom Lake Road, and eventually you'll be stopped by the Air Force Elite Guard.
