I'm not a doctor, but a user for many years. It stops hair loss for me and approx. 90% of users I believe. It might re-grow small amounts of new hair for only about 50% of users. So the key is start using while you still have most of your hair. I have experienced no down-side or negative side effects that I can identify, other than the high cost. I have started taking 1 dose every other day in order to cut the expense in half, and so far so good. Another expense is the annual doctor visit to a dermatologist which is required to get a prescription re-filled. Try getting out of a doctor's office for less than $100 these days! Most health insurance policies refuse to cover any expenses as it is considered elective.
