Yep. Benadryl and then the vet. I almost lost my Boston to a bee sting a couple of years ago. She had the same symptoms, but then it got worse. Her breathing became labored and she puffed up like a balloon. We had to take her in right away for some stronger injections. Better safe than sorry, as a previous poster said. I was told 1 mg of Benadryl per pound of dog.

It is possibly an allergic reaction, and benadryl may help. Try to find the cause (food allergy, flea bite allergy, shampoo allergy, etc.) A lot of dogs are allergic to chicken - so lamb-based diets are a good choice. If it might be caused by shampoo, try using an oatmeal-based shampoo, this relieves the irritation and itching, and is usually not something dogs are allergic to.

If they're on her chin it might be pimples. My dogs broke out in little bumps on their chin and mouth and we took them to the vet and the vet said it's not a common thing but some dogs are allergic to plastic, and we were feeding them out of plastic bowls, so to make the pimples and bleeding go away we started using metal. If you don't think it's pimples take her to the vet, it could get a lot worse and it could tighten her throat and prevent her from breathing.

Try a mixture of 1 Tablespoon white vinegar, and 1 Cup of cool
water. Take a cloth and moisten it and apply to hot spots. It should be wet, but not dripping.

My dog gets a shot every month and it works. It's around $75. It might be food alergies.

I would firstly look for the irritant. have you changed foods, has she been where there are mosquitos or black flies, could she have come in contact with any toxins? Tea tree oil is great to stop itching

What did you give her? I give my dogs benadryl for allergic reactions. What size is your dog? You may need to take it to the vet,

Your best bet is to take her to the vet. Better safe than sorry with these things.

Good luck!
