I feel like at time my boyfriends trys to push me down or take away complements that other people give me. I am constanltly having people say that I should be a model and they give people to contact to get into the business. Also only girls have told me this, that I look like Jessica simpson and he always just laughs and says... something like and "I'm Matt Damon." And with the modeling he just always blows it off and makes me feel as if it was a joke. He has even been there when people have confused with with at models at a hair and makeup convention before. Is he trying to make me feel unattractive ? Becasue it is really starting to work. What is going on in his head?

he is insecure with himself, he's scared if you realize how pretty you are you'll leave him for someone more attractive. However you need to be careful with this one because sometimes men like this like to be over controling of their girl friends and wives. take good care of yourself.

well what he is doing is indeed rude - however without posting your picture people here will have to either take your word for what you look like or not and I can tell you that some will not and can be just as rude. Me I think if you are happy with your looks and you want to try modeling then you should follow your dream. your boyfriend isnt being supportive makes me think he is not out to be a boyfriend but rather an owner. not a good thing and makes what you have with him toxic. life is short and happiness is rare. Do not allow people to drag you down. love has to be from both or it isnt love at all. you can love him all you want but if the love is not returned then why would you want to be with someone who can show it by being supportive.
whatever you decide make sure it is what you want and any one standing in your way of you and your dream do not be afraid to kick them to the curb.

Be more confident in yourself dammit, beauty is only skin deep.

It's a method of dealing with the more attratctive fairer sex that experienced or at least "down-to-earth" guys employ. Your boyfriend wants to go against the grain of what other guys would probably say over and over again ("Oh! You're so beautiful!!!"). That **** gets old to pretty girls now doesn't it?

But by your boyfriend playing aloof and hard to please he is making himself appear much unlike those other wussy a.ss guys. He's makign himself more appealing to you in particular. Or at least he'd like to think so and I'm guessing he really is. It'll only be a matter of time until you're like putty in his hands. Point!!!!!!!!

1) If you do look that good, he is worried these guys are hitting up on you. 2) These guys are just hitting up on you. 3) He doesn't want you to get a big head & leave his sorry ***.
