Be careful with getting this diagnosis. Many doctor would put your son on psychotoric drugs that are very powerful and addictive. There is a more natural and effective way to treat Asperger's.

For his obsessive compulsions consider a safer form of Niacin called Inositol Hexanicotinate.

Also consider eliminating dairy(including pizza from his diet).

Where is Yonkers?

At least he's doing okay in school. Just make sure the teachers know he possibly has Asbergers and may require special supervision. Check out the following web sites for information and issues related to Autism and Asberger's syndrome.

My 23 year old daughter has Asperger's Syndrome. It went undiagnosed until she was 16 years old, and even that was quite by fluke. I had been having her tested for various things all her life and no one could put their finger on it. People called her weird, obsessive and a variety of other names, but she was good academically and the nicest girl I ever met. I found a website on Lactose Intolerance with a link to mental health. There was a 6 page questionairre on there that I filled out, and it turned out that she was afflicted with Asperger's. When I took this information to her Doctor, he referred her to a Neurologist who had never heard of it. He did some studying on it and determined that it was indeed what she has. The Neurologist told me that the best way to diagnose this is through parental surveys. There is no blood test for Asperger's. There is no medication for it either. She is now on an Alternative product that has allowed her to focus on a broader variety of things. She now has a job and was able to recently go on a trip to Europe with a friend. Her symptoms have improved tremendously.
