i know alot of methods for getting rid of frizz but most of them last about...3 seconds. anybody got any solutions that last all day? rubbing conditioner on my hair works, but if i do that too much it makes my hair oily.

I’ve used everything suggested except the Silk Result shampoo. Maybe I’ll try that. Mayo did work, thanks for the info, but I’ve already tried it (wonderful) except my mom won't let me do it again cuz she said I used too much.

OK the gal that said Mayonnaise is sort of right but she failed to tell you how to get it out of your hair once it is applied, regular shampoo won't remove it, you have to use vinegar!
I suggest you try the Aussie Product called "Knot Forgotten", once you put it on your hair you will feel it get soooo much softer. Aussie "Moist" will help tame that mane as well! Avon has a Dry End Serum that works wonders, a bit of olive oil on your fingers stroked across your hair will add moisture which is what is causing the dryness. Don't wash your whole mane, wash your scalp with shampoo and just let the suds wash through your hair length. Usually the ends don't get dirty, its the oils from your scalp that make your hair dirty. And moisturize moisturize moisturize. Even cheap hair moisturizer is good if that is all you have. Try only to wash your hair when it is dirty, not just because you are taking a shower, when its not necessary keep your hair out of waer for awhile. Same with swimming, the clorine drys your hair out REALLY bad! Keep your hair out of the wind and sun too. Protect it from getting more dried out, as the hair mends you can bring it "out" into the world more!

Choosing the right shampoo and conditioner prevents dry hair. Products that gently moisturize your hair without harsh chemicals or detergents like sulfates are best. Use moderation even with products designed for dry hair. Look for moisturizers containing humectants and essential fatty acids, which replace and retain moisture.
Avoiding damaging treatments prevents dry hair. Blow-dryers and curling irons cause dryness and split-ends because of the close contact between the heat and the hair. Perms and dyes also leave hair brittle and damaged. Avoid these treatments or use special follow-up conditioning treatments as well.
Avoiding exposure to extreme weather prevents dry hair. If you're going to be out in the hot sun or freezing wind cover your head to protect your scalp and hair from damage. It doesn't hurt to apply a leave-in conditioner or moisturizer to your hair, either.
A healthy diet prevents dry hair. Balance your intake of fats, oils, additives, and preservatives with a healthy amount of fruits, vegetables, protein, and vitamins. Vitamin B complex regulates oil secretion and keeps hair moisturized, and zinc, iron, and copper promote healthy hair.
Added stress causes dry hair. Stress in other parts of your life (such as the fluctuating hormones of the female cycle) will affect the state of your hair (and the rest of your body), so be aware of your mental and emotional health and take time every day to wind down and relax.

Put just alittle about a half of a dime size or more of Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the palm of your hand rub your hands together and place it in your dry hair, now just alittle or it will make your hair greasy. Olive oil is great for alot of things try putting some sugar in a cup and put some olive oil over it and let it soak in, then either wet your face, hands or body with warm water then place the rub the olive oil on the body part then rinse and pat dry. Try it it is great. Also pat olive oil around your eye area lightly and it is a great moisterizer. Enjoy good luck:)

Unfortunately you are cursed with the frizze. Their are only temporary fixes if you are willing to spend the time and energy on it. The shorter your hair is the easier it might be to control. Don't worry we've all got something annoying that we have to put up with.

Use hair gel on humid days! Rub it in your hands and thru your hair when it is still wet, before you blow dry it. Style as usual.
