And is it possible to not be attracted to someone you find attractive?

As a side note, I am not asking for myself, but more as a survey. I did this back in college and found that more women said yes than men. I personally have been attracted to people that I would not normally find attractive and not been attracted to people that I have found attractive. Just a question out of curiosity.

Yes. You can be attracted to a person's body, but not their mind. Or vice versa

If you mean physically for the first question yes. You can be extrememly attracted to someone you don't find physically attractive. For the second question I would say yes again. This time in a personality sense. You can find the most physically attractive person you want, but if they aren't a match for your personality, you might not find them attractive.

Yes to both. It is possible for attraction to develop as you grow into loving a person that did not particularly attract you in the beginning. And it is possible to be so put off by someone's personality or behavior that you no longer find them appealing. I used to worship Mel Gibson until I learned that he smokes. I used to have the hots for Brad Pitt until what he did to Jennifer. And I have grown to love and be attracted to people in my life who were not especially physically attractive, by most people's standards. A person's inside can be so attractive that your feelings change toward them.

well yes it is! when we talk about attraction we are not just talking about physical attraction... it goes for intellectual, spiritual or emotional as well. its the same as choosing between looks or personality.. same as for example we get to meet this not so attractive guy at a dating site, let's say webdatedotcom and at first you have to admit that you weren't really intersted with him at all.. but in the long run you found out that despite of him being not so hot, he eventually turns out to be the most attractive person that you ever met...

Yes! It doesn't matter what they look like on the outside. It's the inside that counts. Plus, with time and love for that person, they will be the most attractive person you have ever seen!

hell yeah! it works both ways. you can fall madly in love with a person's personality and soul, but they could be really ugly. on the other hand, you could just as easily get the hots for someone who's a god and perfect in every way on the outside but on the inside is really a crummy person. personally, i'd rather go for choice number one. but if you can find a guy with good looks and a great personality, you know you're doin' good.

No and no.
David DeAngelo says it well: "Attraction is not a choice." You can't talk yourself into or out of attraction. And you can't talk someone else into or out of you.
Sorry.
