I am a teacher. And you know what I think? I think you will succeed if you do two things.
1) Find some way to start your own business.
Working your way up through the normal ranks is not really an option for you. It will take too much effort and time.
But it order to start your own business you have to find your PASSION ! You will not succeed in anything if you have no passion for it.
You will need to start small and in most cases you will also need a side job to keep you in feed.
2) You must be prepared to work harder than you ever worked in school. I MEAN HARD! And forget about any relationship. Your relationship will be your work and your life.
I can say these things because...
A) I have not worked for anyone other than myself for over 25 years.
B) I taught MYSELF to be an national expert in my field.
C) A major university ask me to teach for them over 13 years ago. I am their only instructor in this field and in my state.
D) I raised 5 children.
E) I finished only the 11th grade !

What's more important is - what do YOU think of your decision? If you are happy w/the job you have, and do not need further education to do something else you desire to do, then you should be satisfied with your decision. However, if you seek more money or power, you will need to work for a GED or HS equivalency. The main thing is that you are content with your own choices. If you're not, you're the only one who has the power to improve yourself!

I think that you could probably get your GED fairly easily, which may help you gain some closure to your issues about not finishing. As for your job, as long as you are happy and you are a hard worker, then good for you!
p.s. I am a teacher (3rd grade)

Not very clever of you. Knowledge is power and you should soak it up like a sponge and learn to love it and develop an enquiring inquisitive mind. This will serve you far better than your present circumstance. Jules, lecturer. Australia.

I think that you have jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire
You see, you ran away from school and there you are... but at least you have longer lunch hours!... eternal lunch hours...
That is called: irony. Go back to school. Use that example on your language arts test. You'll be fine.

You should have stayed. Take night classes and catch up. Go to university or college and get a better job. You'll probably be a lot happier.
