I don't know if boycotting US travel to Mexico would help or simply backfire, causing even more Mexicans to feel the need to run to the USA illegally to work. However, I am sure that US tourism to Mexico more benefits the rich and the corrupt government than it does the average and poor citizens there.
Anyways, I just want to say that I just read the best answer in this forum ever, written by you, in answer to a question by gokart and it was a very long answer you gave, but I found it the most informative I have ever read on here and I certainly hope ALL on here will read it and learn a lot about the history of illegal immigration to the USA. I found it extremely enlightening, well thought out, and well written. You are an extremely articulate person and are very logical and sensical in how you lay things out. Thanks again! Please continue to share your knowledge and intelligence on the issue of illegal immigration in this forum.

I just got back from a trip to Mexico City, Acapulco and other rural areas there. Boy, what an eyeopener! There is a disparity in wealth, but we also have that here in the U.S.A. too. Acapulco was the worst when it came to having to tip everyone and I couldn't even enjoy the beach without a vendor showing up every 5 seconds. Everyone had a way of making a living. Even by parking on the street and someone saying they would "watch your car" got a hand me out by both foreigners and locals. Illegal immigration is a way of life, it is a generational thing. I spoke to many people and it happens most of them had a relative illegal in the U.S.A. and are waiting to be invited to join them. One lady said she had 6 children in the U.S.A. So this isn't going to be easy to stop, even saw on the Mexican news illegals are now going into the sewer drainage to get through the border.
Don't just visit tourist sites, try and get a view of rural areas to know the country and its people. A memorable experience and knowledge of a country fighting for existence.

economic boycott would only hurt the poor people more. It would cause even more illegals wanting to come to the States. Take a look at our boycott against cuba, and Iraq , it hurts the poors the most.
Mexico is polarized between the wealthy and the poor. The wealthy don't care about the poor.

No one has ever boycoted anything successfully that I know of without a court order to cease and desist.
It might be more effective to boycott social programs for illegals and business that hire them.
As far as going down there, read the state department first. If your looked at wrong you go to jail with no buts about it or rights and you get out when they say you do.
I read someone here a little ago that said Mexicans think different, he was from Mexico. He said that there, everything is their fault. So that means if Mexico fights us with La Reconquista, then it's our fault not theirs if we do nothing. That sounds like no conscience to me for your country's neighbor. They have no interest in protecting our interests like we have in doing theirs. As far as they're concerned it's going to be all theirs sooner or later anyway.

What does Mexico and Illegal imagration have to do with one another? The mexican government doesn't encourage its citizens to move to the United States. PLus all illegals are not from Mexico.

I couldn't answer all that. Really!!!!!!!!!!!!]
What I do know is!!!!!!!!! That I love Mexico!!! I love the beaches!!! I love the atmosphere!!!! I love the food!!!!
The exclamation points were for another poster who seems to think they make a point...hmmmmmph.
Anyway......finally MY REAL answer. It will never work. There is always going to be a group of crazy, sick and rich bitches who choose amazing white beaches over smog covered hills.
Also if you say they CAN'T.....that only gives them more reason to say they WILL. If I was anti-Mexico.....what I would be telling everyone IS.....OMG.....it is being overpopulated with "suburbanites with vacation money".....so sick and their kids poop in the pools and pee on the pretty white towels. You should go to Monte Carlo.....Gambling rocks.
And besides WHO CARES....... this is the worst one yet. I still love Mexico and if all the "race haters" choose to use the "saltwater sea" as their next excursion.....that makes it more pleasant for me.
Peace.

All I am asking is for these hard working Mexicans to stand up and reclaim their country. Mexico is their country. Be proud to be a Mexican and take your country back. Make it a good place and show us how good it can be. I would think that Mexicans would be sad and depressed that they have to flee their great country to invade the United States of America.
