enlightenment-So you're trying to say the 'la gran marcha' is not for real? Somehow I just don't believe you!! Mexico has admitted they want to 'try' to take back the Southwest up to Oregon. They had planned these Marches for that very reason.
What does the immense success of "La Gran Marcha" mean to Mexicanos and other Latinos? It simply means that we now have the numbers, the political will and the organizational skills to direct our own destinies and not be subservient to the White and Jewish power structures. It means that we can now undertake bigger and more significant mass actions to achieve total political and economic liberation like that being proposed by Juan José Gutiérrez, President of Movimiento Latino USA. Juan José Gutiérrez is proposing that the coalition that organized "La Gran Marcha" meet in Arizona or Texas on April 8 to "organize a mass boycott (huelga) against the economy of the USA" to take place on May 1, May 5 or May 19.

I agree, illegals (especially from Mexico) have totally mis-played their attempt at strong arming America. They served only to weaken themselves and at the same time strengthen America's resolve.

I'm Native American but I'll answer anyway. They have admitted they are lazy. They have proven with the May !st boycott that a day without Mexicans is day of peace and quiet and has no impact on the economy, except where they themselves live. No, we won't stop trying to open the eyes of those Americans who still need to see what is really going on. BARBARA you guys can go on to another category, maybe Cher, Hayley, yars232c, Ann
and some of the others who feel STRONG about this issue won't give up on it like the Mexicans did in Mexico when they could have fought for their rights in their own country with a lot less effort than what they will be up against when the USA strikes back. If they keep it up there will be a civil war, and Mexico doesn't stand a rats chance in a cat house.

It is you who pushed them by passing anti-immigrant legislation that would make criminals out of tens of millions of people.
It was the Sensenbrenner bill, known as HR 4437, that was the final insult that made the daily anger here and across the country and also the rise of the racist Minutemen vigilantes and what about the unprecedented number of deaths at the border due to the militarization of Operation Gatekeeper? This is why a day without immigrants was a protest issue on May 1, 2006. It was to teach the exploitive minority of people in America, the racists, the bigots that all people deserve human rights and that they have created this situation too, it is not Mexicans trying to get into thier economy, it is their economy and the corrupt way it is run that makes this situation brutal. No human is illegal, especially the ones you use when convenient then discard when a racist gives you a battle cry to rally behind. SHAME ON YOU.
It is NAFTA that was designed by your Democratic President that has demanded death for so many indigenous people in Mexico and has made women unsafe in the work conditions you export to Mexico for cheap slave labor.
The victimization of minorities runs high in your country built on the genocide of the indigenous and evolved by African slavery.
“When the white men first set foot on our shores, they were hungry; they had no places on which to spread their blankets or to kindle their fires. They were feeble; they could do nothing for themselves. Our fathers commiserated their distress, and shared freely with them whatever the Great Spirit had given to his red children...Brothers, the white people are like poisonous serpents: when chilled, they are feeble and harmless; but invigorate them with warmth, and they will sting their benefactors to death.” - Shawnee leader Tecumseh, 1811.
SI Se Puede!

The marches were more about how the U.S.A. has gained its economic power my using Hispanic labor, be either legal or illegal immigration from Mexico and all Hispanic descendants. In human behavior when a person is not acknowledged, disrespect follows. These people are not slaves to be treated as if they shouldn't have feelings. If more recognition of what they accomplish is made, instead of making their menial jobs seem less dignifying than intellectual white collar jobs, less disrespect
this arrogant country would receive.

I agree with you - their recent actions have only served to firm up in my mind that they are only here for their own personal benefits and don't give a hoot about the USA or her citizens. Before, I felt some sense of sympathy for many of them having come from "poor" countries and "just trying to give their families a better life." However, after all the recent events, I no longer have any sympathy for them, whatsoever. Now, I wish every single one of them would be deported and the borders sealed up tight, no matter the cost, and the employers of illegals be severely prosecuted. I no longer have an iota of sympathy for any of them! They should all be treated as the lawbreakers that they are! I am sick of illegal immigrants by now!

It didn't do their cause any good. Most Americans including illegals are not aware of the true threat the AZTLAN insurgency is to America. Home grown terrorists! I think its only a matter of time until the hate being bread by the AZTLAN movement boils over into violence and anarchy. It could become the the American "Palestine".
All you need to do is read what they are saying and you will know it for what it is.

I think disrepect for our flag turned many away.
And the Race card.
And the we will do the work you won't (this made many mad who don't have high power jobs-that would add to millions I think)
And the abusers of our State Aid system
And the saying they don't care about our laws
And the demands.
And so does trying to stop the Minutemen-they have too, their a threat to them but many are looking at these men as Americans with gripes not being address by the goverment. And when you attack them your attacking America.

Show me one that cares instead of giving the attitude, ok, we broke the law, go screw yourself we don't care.
When they start turning themselves in for deportation, then I would start respecting them.
The only good illegal immigrant is a deported illegal immigrant.
The only good lawbreaker is a jailed lawbreaker
If you think the issue is over, then go on out of it and don't bother those that want to make a difference in our country.
I used to be an American. Now I am nobody.
When will they have the protest of all protests to make their view known of how much they hate America as they march back down past the border?
