My cat gave birth two days ago, i'm taking her to the vet tommarrow for an emergency appointment becasue she's very underweight, and not eating much.
Shes very content at the moment puring and taking care of her kittens very well (all 7 of them), and there was a bit of blood the day after her birth and now i've noticed a white discharge.

Obvoiusly I'll ask the vet about this but does anyone have any idea what it is, just to give me a heads up?

You should probably take her in tonight, I wouldn't wait until tomorrow morning. Cats who don't eat can get very sick very quickly (just by not eating they can run into liver problems). The kittens are also taking some calories from her too, potentially making it even worse. When you take her in, you should bring the kittens as well so they aren't away from her long. The white discharge could be normal, or it could be a sign of a serious infection or other problem.

That happened to my cat a couple years ago. I waited for about 6 days because I had never had a cat who gave birth before.... so I thought it was normal. Its not. It can be very serious. I finally took my cat to the vet when she slept all day, in the same position, and could not seem to awaken. The vet discovered that she had a dead kitten still inside of her. It was literally decaying inside of her. It was causing her body to "poison" itself. The dead kitten was removed and my cat was put on strong antibiotics and an I.V. drip. She almost didn't make it. He said that if I had waited another day or two she would have died. Meanwhile, she could no longer feed her babies, so I have to purchase some expensive kitten formula and feed the babies every 2-3 hours. It was not something that I'd ever want to go through again. Please call your vet first thing in the morning.

Could be an infection. However the blood is normal after giving birth and you may see some off and on for 2-3 weeks.

well its good you are taking her to a vet but this is all normal stuff after pregnancy. My cat just had 4 kittens 5 days ago and all that stuff happens for the first couple days after the kittens are born! good luck!
