My mother absolutely hated any sort of music. She would get totally irritated if you played any sort of music just for the sake of listening to the music itself.

I think that for some people, if they don't feel like they have the time or patence to give music their full attention.....then it's just a bunch of distracting noise, and as with any sort of distraction, they would rather it was gone.

It may be that you simply have not yet discovered the type or style of music that truely enguages you on a level that makes it seem like it's worth taking the time to really listen to it. And the fact that the popularity of certain music styles makes it so that.....you don't always have the biggest selection to choose from.......if you are going to be "with it" I mean.....does not really help you be exposed to all that's out there.

I mean......I ended up liking Opera music, of all things. But it was not until I got the hang of what it was all about that I came to like it.

Before that.....it was just noise.

I don't care about music but it doesn't annoy me. Some music that has memories attached to it I will like. Maybe the style about the song sounds rediculous to ya. Maybe you haven't connected to somebody else's imagination. Because people's imagination creates songs. Maybe you don't want to connect with other people's tastes and creativitiy. Maybe you think that you will project your crazy mind unto people's voices and alter history lol.

Do you hate all kinds of music? What about instrumentals? I think it would only be a problem if you hate it to the point where you avoid places where you hear music and if you changed your life style around hating music so much. If you don't do those things i guess you hating music would be like someone who hates art work. If you don't like music it's your choice.

you enjoy quiet. young people are like dogs who chase their tail and do not know why...for something to do and they feel happy doing it...they go and run like they are in a hurry and then end up doing nothing and going no where.
To enjoy the quiet means you are not afraid to feel and you enjoy the moment and are at peace with yourself most of the time.
You reflect and think.
these are things that are unusual to a premature mind.
I see you will become a complex thinker and when you are an adult, you will be happy in your life when others will be living in the rush and not thinking and feeling life as they go through it...thus they will have lives full of chaos and confusion.
keep up the good work and be a leader not a follower!

I don't like music much either. I only listen to it on the radio when others put it on. I don't know. It just seems like a waste of time.

I can't understand how someone don't like music. there is an extremely wide range of musics, I would be surprised if you didn't like at least one kind. but maybe that you hate music because the genre you like has not yet been created. if it is so, maybe you should create it ;)

It could be that you are a highly sensitive person, and it is just too much noise for you. The web site, www.hsperson.com, may help you understand your type of personality.
