Dear Jimmy, Your main problem is that you are trying to compare Austin to LA which simply makes no sense. Austin's population is about 1.6 million, LA's population is almost 4 million - other than the fact that they are both cities in the United States there is really is no comparing the two. Furthermore, your false perception of Austin leads me to believe that you are young and have not taken the time to get to know the area, and I would be willing to bet that you actually live in Round Rock or Cedar Park - both of which ARE NOT Austin. Additionally, there is plenty to do in Austin, the cost of living in Austin is much lower than the cost if living in Los Angeles, and entry level positions out of college are just that - entry level. You have to put in work and gain experience to be properly compensated; high paying jobs and wages are something that have to be earned - they aren't just served up on a platter to the new kid in town. I won't even address the road/traffic issue because if you are actually from LA or have spent any time there then you would know that Austin traffic is no where near as bad as LA. So, all of your complaints/concerns about Austin are invalid, and furthermore, nobody forced you or your family to move here. Once you get settled and familiarize yourself with the area, I hope you will realize just how wrong you are about Austin, but for the time being, please feel free to to keep your false perception and opinions to yourself. I hope this helps; have a great day!

Let's see: Hurricanes or earthquakes?

Actually, I would move to the SUBURBS of either of those places, as they are not nice cities (crime). Too humid for me in Florida--so I guess it would be a suburb of LA--wait, can't even smoke cigarettes outdoors there!
