I've been on two real steam trains. One in Swanage, Dorset and the other one was the South Devon Railway service round trip, Buckfastleigh - Staverton - Totnes. I'm from Dorset but study in Devon so there's steam trains in the two places I live!
In fact, the Devon steam train goes through my college campus! Can hear the toot toot from my bedroom!

I seem to think that when I was a kid we went on a 'choo choo train' in the Isle of wight. I have never been on an aeroplane either, I gave away a two week all expenses paid holiday in Valetta Malta, because I daren't even walk up the steps to the plane, because I was told you could see through the steps onto the tarmac below, I gave the same person who told me that the holiday.......what a sucker I was then.

Haha! So yes, both in Aus and here (in the UK!). Imagine living where there were no "Choo-Choo" trains! Your life clearly sucks! Nothing beats seeing a steam train running over the fields etc! It rocks!

We have a miniature choo choo in a major city park. Was on it a few years ago. I think it's still running. Ride takes about 5 minutes. Has tunnels and everything.

Basic Training of the Puppy - Read here https://tr.im/dupnI
The new puppy is certainly one of the most adorable and cuddly creatures that has ever been created. It is the most natural thing in the world to shower it with love and affection. However, at the same time it is important to realize that if you want to have a well trained adult dog, you need to begin the training process right away. The dog, like its related ancestor, the wolf, is a pack animal. One of the features of a pack is that it has a single dominant leader. Your new puppy is going to want that leader to be you, but if you do not assume that role from the very beginning, the puppy’s instincts will push him to become the leader.
The most important thing to remember about training the puppy during its first six months of life is that it must see you as the leader of the family pack. The essential thing is gaining the trust and the respect of the puppy from the beginning. You will not do this by allowing the puppy to do whatever it wants to do whenever it wants to do it. On the other hand, a certain amount of patience is required. Most people err in their early training by going to extremes one way or the other. Although you need to begin the basic training process at once, you can not expect your dog to do too much at first. Basic obedience training is fine and should include simple commands like sit, stay, and come. Remember that trying to teach the dog advanced obedience techniques when it is a puppy is much like trying to teach a five year old child algebra.
It is also important to restrain from cruel or abusive treatment of the puppy. You can not beat obedience into your dog, and it certainly is not going to engender feeling of respect and trust. House breaking is an area where this usually becomes a problem because of the anger that is triggered when the puppy fails and creates a mess inside the home. Although this issue must be addressed without anger, it most be addressed. If you allow the puppy to eliminate inside the house, it will continue to do so as an adult dog. The same thing is true of other destructive or dangerous behavior such as chewing and biting. Do not expect the puppy to grow out of it. You are going to need to train the puppy out of it, but you should do so firmly but with a sense of play and fun using positive reinforcement and lots of love and praise for good behavior.

Yes once or maybe twice. Only once that I can remember. They are groovy. I need to go on one again. My babies like choo choos so that's what I might be looking out for this summer.

I have been on a steam train and I loved it! There was a fake robbery on the train which made it even more fun! I liked it because I felt like I went back in time of the cowboys. I was a fun experience. I went on the train in Ely, Nevada. That's where they have the most train rides in the entire state of Nevada.

I've been in one, once we went to visit grandma and grandpa.
We went to their house at the beach in Devon, and we went to Paignton, got the train that took us to Totnes, there we had lunch, and for the way back they bought me and my little brother a big gingerbread man. My brother ate almost the whole thing, but I didn't like it so I fed it to my grandma's dog when she wasn't looking. Then we arrived at the station and visited a butterfly farm, and there were also some beavers.
I saw another of these noisy trains in Weston-Super-Mare.
And here where we live, we used to ride a model train on Sundays after swimming.

Many times. I used to go to school on one (or two, actually). And I could hang my head out of the window and get smuts in my eye like the best of 'em.
I used to love that steamy oil smell of the pistons and con rods.
In those days you could make marvellous maps of your village and write on them "Here be Dragons"!
Oh for the secret language of 0-4-0 and 4-6-0 and the quiet that descended when you stopped at a small station and nobody got on or off.

Yes. I took the steam train up to the hill station of Simla. But I think they have phased it out. Sad, as thinking of it always brings back the memories of my good old days in India.
