Is the power of hunger.
We have a saying "hunger makes raw beans taste sweet"
Humans are Omnivorous.
Means we can eat just about anything.
You name it fruit meat seeds nuts anything.
And your brain knows your food is your fuel it keeps you alive and running.
So if we can be choosy we are but the more close you come to hunger followed by starvation the less flavor matters.
Not so excellently awesome foods still fill up your stomach.
It's a trick your brain plays if you think you're eating something nice you'll take another bite.
Is also why people still buy yuck foods because commercials made their mind think hydrogenated fats and refined sugars are yummy.

If you've basically been straved like on an island with no sources available it's because your body has been deprived of everything it needs to function so getting back to normal is what it wants to do. Anything tastes good because all nutrients previously in your body have become extremely scarce and your body basically goes into withdrawl like if you were put in prison from cocaine use or other drugs. Your body needs food to function.

Things always taste better when you're hungry. If you're full you shouldn't be eating, and things will always taste the worse. Maybe it's your bodys tactic to keeping your weight at a healthy level... make everything taste so gross that you don't wanna eat unless your stomach growls.....
